Data Deletion
Last Updated: September 17, 2026
You can ask us to delete your MsgOrb account and the data held with it at any time, and we do not charge for it or ask you to give a reason. This page explains how to make that request, what is deleted, and how long it takes.
Deleting your MsgOrb account
Email privacy@msgorb.com from the address your account is registered to, asking us to delete your account. Sending from the registered address is how we confirm the request is yours; if you cannot, write from any address and we will verify your identity another way before acting.
We confirm by email once the deletion is complete. Requests are processed within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
Disconnecting WhatsApp first
If you only want MsgOrb to stop accessing your WhatsApp Business Account, you do not need to delete your account. Open Settings → WhatsApp in the dashboard and choose Disconnect. That removes the access token and account identifiers we hold for your WhatsApp Business Account, and MsgOrb can no longer send or receive messages on your behalf. Your WhatsApp Business Account itself is unaffected and stays with Meta.
What is deleted
- Your account and profile details, including name, email address and phone number.
- Your workspace and its groups, contacts and contact details.
- Your message templates, campaigns, workflows and notification configurations.
- Your WhatsApp Business Account credentials held by MsgOrb, including access tokens and account identifiers.
- Message transmission logs and delivery metadata associated with your workspace.
Message content is not stored beyond what is needed to deliver a message, so there is no archive of your conversations to delete.
What we may keep, and why
A small amount of information survives deletion where the law requires it. Billing and tax records of payments you made are kept for the period our tax obligations demand, and records needed to establish or defend a legal claim are kept until that need ends. Security logs such as IP addresses and server access records expire on their own 30-day cycle. None of this is used to contact you or to rebuild your account.
Data held by Meta about your WhatsApp Business Account, and data held by our payment processor, live in those systems rather than ours. Deleting your MsgOrb account does not delete them, and each has its own process.
If you received a message sent through MsgOrb
MsgOrb is software used by businesses and organizations to message the people who signed up with them. If you received a WhatsApp message from one of them, that business decides what information it holds about you, and MsgOrb only processes it on their behalf.
To stop the messages, reply STOP to the conversation. That opt-out is honoured immediately and no further messages are sent to your number. To have your details deleted, contact the business that messaged you. If you cannot reach them, write to privacy@msgorb.com with the number that was messaged and we will pass the request to them and support them in acting on it.
Other privacy requests
You can also ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to restrict how it is used. Write to privacy@msgorb.com. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why, and the Data Processing Addendumcovers our role when we process data on a customer's behalf.
