Sound familiar?

Prayer time changes and program notices are lost in a busy community group chat.

Donations come in cash and by bank transfer, and receipts are written by hand.

Weekend school pickup depends on volunteers recognizing every parent.

Festival dinners are planned without knowing how many families are coming.

What MsgOrb does for mosques, temples and religious communities

Real workflows, running today — not a feature wish-list.

Prayer and program reminders

Weekly reminders for Friday prayer, satsang, classes or study circles, sent privately to each member and repeated automatically.

Giving to the funds you name

One giving page and QR code. Rename the funds to fit your community, such as Zakat, Sadaqah, Dana or Building Fund, and receipts arrive on WhatsApp.

Fundraisers with a goal

A building or expansion appeal with its own page and progress bar that members share. People can also text DONATE to your number.

Weekend school check-in

Parents register children once. Volunteers check them in with a PIN, and the parent gets a pickup pass on WhatsApp.

Festival and iftar RSVPs

Families RSVP with how many are coming and get an entry pass on WhatsApp, so you know how much food to prepare.

Every message comes from your organization’s own WhatsApp Business number, and replies land in your MsgOrb inbox. If the person messaged you in the last 24 hours it goes as a reply (Meta includes 1,000 free a month per number); otherwise it goes as a Meta-approved message, which you add in one click. Anyone who replied STOP is never messaged.

Up and running in three steps

1

Import members, or put a Text JOIN QR code at the entrance.

2

Set up giving

Connect Stripe, name your funds, and print the QR code for the notice board.

3

Schedule weekly reminders

Prayer, classes and programs, each to the right group, repeated every week.

Why religious communities are moving announcements to WhatsApp

Most communities already live on WhatsApp, usually in one huge group chat where every notice competes with forwarded messages. A private reminder from your organization’s own number is the message members actually read, and their replies come back to people who can answer.

Each program can be its own group: the weekend school, the youth circle, the women’s committee, the volunteers. Each has its own reminders and its own leaders as sub-admins.

Giving that fits your community

The giving page works for any tradition: name the funds the way your community does, and people give by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay from a QR code on the notice board. Each giver who leaves their number gets a receipt on WhatsApp, and a year-end statement with one click.

Common questions

MsgOrb runs on the official WhatsApp Business Platform — see the full FAQ for more.

Can we rename Tithe and Offering?

Yes. Your giving page starts with two funds, which you can rename or remove, and you can add your own, up to 12, such as Zakat, Sadaqah, Dana or Building Fund. Receipts use the fund’s name.

Where does the money go?

Straight to your organization’s own Stripe account. MsgOrb never holds it. MsgOrb’s fee is 2% + $0.50 per gift, and a “cover the fee” box (ticked by default) lets the giver add it on top.

Can members message us back?

Yes. Replies land in a shared inbox your team works from, and Smart Replies can answer questions such as prayer times or parking straight away.

Can we run weekend school check-in?

Yes. Kids Check-in works on every plan. Parents register once, volunteers check children in with a PIN, and a child is released only when the pickup code matches. Only the parent counts toward your member limit.

Do members need an app?

No. Messages arrive in their normal WhatsApp from your organization’s own WhatsApp Business number.
