Text GIVE on WhatsApp

People text GIVE, TITHE, OFFERING, DONATE or STATEMENT to your WhatsApp number and get a Give button or their statement straight away.

With Text GIVE, people can give without looking for a link. They send one word to your organization's WhatsApp number and MsgOrb replies at once with a button.

Tell people: "Text GIVE to" your WhatsApp number. The exact line for your bulletin or the pulpit is on the Overview tab of Giving.

The words

They sendThey get
GIVEA Give now button that opens your giving page
TITHEYour giving page with Tithe already picked
OFFERINGYour giving page with Offering already picked
DONATEYour newest open fundraiser (or your giving page if none is open)
STATEMENTTheir own year-end giving statement

Capital letters and punctuation don't matter, and GIVING, TITHES, OFFERINGS and DONATION work too. The word has to be the whole message.

Why it helps

  • The button fills in their WhatsApp number (and the name they last gave with) for them, without putting the number in the link.
  • Because they wrote to you first, the reply and their receipt go in the same chat. No template is needed, and they count toward the 1,000 free replies Meta includes each month for your WhatsApp number.

Good to know

  • Nothing happens if your giving page is closed and no fundraiser is open. The message reaches your Inbox as usual.
  • These words are reserved, so no event can use them as its RSVP word.
