Adding a payment method

Meta bills template messages to your WhatsApp Business Account, so it needs a card on file.

Meta charges for WhatsApp template messages and bills your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) directly. MsgOrb never sees or handles that payment, and your MsgOrb plan does not include it. Until the WABA has a valid payment method, Meta refuses template sends.

Add a card

  1. 1Go to business.facebook.com and open Settings.
  2. 2Open Billing & payments, then Accounts, then WhatsApp Business Accounts.
  3. 3Find the account you connected to MsgOrb, open its menu and choose View details.
  4. 4Click Add payment method and enter your card.
A card saved on your Meta Business Portfolio is not the same as a card attached to your WhatsApp Business Account. It must be attached to the specific WABA MsgOrb sends from. This is the usual reason the error below keeps appearing after someone has "already added a card".

Meta redesigns these screens from time to time. If the labels differ, look for Payment settings in WhatsApp Manager for the same account.

If the card is missing or declined

Sends fail with *Business eligibility payment issue* (Meta 131042) on Delivery and Queue Health. Besides a missing card, the same error appears for an expired or declined card, a reached credit limit, an unpaid balance, or missing currency and tax details on the account.

Fix it in the same billing screen, then open the campaign on Campaigns and click Retry to resend the messages that failed.
