On the day, your door team checks guests in with a door link. It opens a QR scanner on their own phone. They do not need a MsgOrb account, and they never see your password.
Send the door link
The door link is created when you first save the event's details. Find it in the Door check-in section of the event's page, then either:
- click Copy link and paste it to your door team, or
- click Send on WhatsApp to open WhatsApp with the link ready to send.
Send it to each person working the door. Everyone can use the same link at the same time.
What the door team can and can't do

Scanning
- 1Open the door link and tap Start scanning. Allow the camera when the phone asks.
- 2Point the camera at the guest's QR code.
- 3Read the result, then tap Scan next.

Each pass works once. If a guest was checked in by mistake, undo it from the guest list with Undo check-in and their pass works again.
When the camera won't scan
Every pass shows an 8-character code under the QR. Tap Type a code instead, enter it (dashes and capitals don't matter) and tap Check. If the camera is blocked, allow it for the page in the browser settings and reload, or keep typing codes.
If a guest has lost their pass, find them in the guest list and use Pass link to send it to them again.
Keeping the door link safe
- Replace link makes a new door link. The old one stops working immediately. Use it if the link has been shared beyond your door team.
- Turn off stops door check-in until you create a new link with Create door link.
- The door link closes by itself the day after the event.
