Sound familiar?

Meeting notices go out by email and attendance never reaches quorum.

The neighborhood group chat is full of arguments, and the important notice is buried.

The treasurer spends weeks chasing dues by text, one household at a time.

Residents keep asking the same questions: trash day, pool hours, who to call.

What MsgOrb does for HOAs and residents’ associations

Real workflows, running today — not a feature wish-list.

Meeting notices residents see

Each resident gets their own message about the meeting, with a reply prompt for agenda items. No group chat, and nobody sees anyone else’s number.

Dues charged automatically

With Membership Dues, each household pays once on a secure page and their card is charged every month or year after. Receipts arrive on WhatsApp.

Residents join themselves

Put a Text JOIN QR code in the welcome packet, on the mailbox kiosk or the clubhouse door. New residents scan, send, and they are on the list.

Common questions answer themselves

Smart Replies answer “trash day”, “pool hours” or “gate code request” in the board’s own words. Anything else reaches the shared inbox.

Why residents’ associations are moving notices to WhatsApp

A notice only works if residents read it. Email notices sit unopened, and a neighborhood group chat buries announcements under everything else. A private WhatsApp message from the association’s own number is read the same day.

Residents can reply to ask a question or raise an agenda item, and the board answers from one shared inbox. When the meeting moves, a single update reaches every household.

Dues without the chasing

Membership Dues gives every household its own payment link. They pay once by card, and the card is charged automatically each month or year. A household that hasn’t paid gets a reminder 3 and 7 days later, then nothing more.

The treasurer sees who has paid at a glance, and a failed card sends the resident a link to update it. No checks to chase, no spreadsheets to reconcile.

Common questions

MsgOrb runs on the official WhatsApp Business Platform — see the full FAQ for more.

Can residents see each other’s numbers?

No. Every resident gets a private message from the association’s WhatsApp Business number. It is not a group chat.

Can we collect dues or assessments?

Yes, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay with Membership Dues. Each resident gets their own payment link, the card is charged every month or year after, and reminders go to anyone who hasn’t paid. MsgOrb’s fee is 2% + $0.50 per payment, added on top and paid by the resident. The money goes straight to the association’s own Stripe account.

Does WhatsApp count as official notice?

That depends on your bylaws and state law, which MsgOrb can’t advise on. Many associations keep sending the required notice by mail or email and use WhatsApp so residents actually see it.

Can several board members manage it?

Yes. Invite them as sub-admins. Everyone works from the same inbox, and no one has to give out their personal number.

What does it cost?

The Free plan covers up to 60 members, then plans start at $19.99 a month for 200. Meta charges its own small fee per notice, billed to the association’s WhatsApp Business Account.
