How these templates are written
- Notices, not invitations. Each is a factual update for people who already belong to your group, which Meta approves as Utility.
- Never starts or ends with a blank. Meta rejects a template whose first or last word is a {{variable}}.
- Blanks never sit side by side. Each one has a label in front of it, such as “Time:”.
- A reply prompt at the end. When someone replies, a 24-hour window opens and you can answer freely.
Questions
What is a WhatsApp message template?
A message Meta has approved in advance, which a business can send to someone who hasn’t messaged it in the last 24 hours. Each has fixed wording with blanks, such as {{name}}, that are filled in for each person.
Why are these templates written as notices?
Meta sorts every template into a category. A factual notice to someone who already belongs to your group is Utility. Invitations, greetings and appeals are Marketing, which costs more and which Meta has stopped delivering to US numbers. So these keep to times, places and what the person signed up for.
What does it cost to send one?
MsgOrb never charges per message. Meta charges for each template it delivers and bills your own WhatsApp Business Account: in the US and Canada a Utility message is $0.0034. Replies to someone who wrote to you in the last 24 hours need no template and count toward the 1,000 free replies Meta includes each month for each number.
How do I use one?
Open the template and press “Use this template in MsgOrb”. The template form opens with the wording filled in. Change anything you like, then press Save Template to send it to Meta for approval. You can also copy the text into any tool that sends WhatsApp templates.
