The template text

Hi {{parent_name}}, thank you for checking your children in at {{group_name}} today. Your check-in details are here: https://msgorb.com/join/kids/check-in/{{pickup_ref}} and they stay available for the rest of the day.

Name in MsgOrb’s Built-In Library: “Kids Check-in Confirmation”.

The blanks to fill in

Blank	What goes in it	Example
{{parent_name}}	Parent name	Rachel
{{group_name}}	Your organisation or group name	Sunday Kids
{{pickup_ref}}	Pickup ref	f3k8

MsgOrb fills in each person’s name for you. Links with a code, such as a payment or pass link, are filled in automatically too.

When to use it

A backup for drop-off: most parents get their pickup pass as a free reply after sending “Check in”.

Tips

The pickup code is never in the template: Meta reads a code in a Utility message as a one-time password. The link opens the day’s pickup pass.

Questions

Is the kids check-in confirmation template Utility or Marketing?

It is written as Utility: a factual notice to someone who already belongs to your group, with no offer, greeting or invitation. Meta makes the final call when it reviews the template.

What does it cost to send?

MsgOrb never charges per message. Meta charges for each template it delivers, billed to your own WhatsApp Business Account: $0.0034 for a Utility message in the US and Canada. Other countries are in the WhatsApp pricing calculator.

Is it already in MsgOrb?

Yes, word for word, in the Built-In Library on the Templates page. “Use this template in MsgOrb” opens it with the wording filled in, so you can change anything before you save it.
