Click-to-WhatsApp ad
A Facebook or Instagram ad with a button that opens a WhatsApp chat with the business, so the person writes first.
A click-to-WhatsApp ad looks like any other Facebook or Instagram ad, but its button says Send message. Tapping it opens WhatsApp with a chat to the business already started, often with a message typed, such as "I’d like to know more about the youth camp".
Because the person writes first, the business can answer in its own words straight away, inside the conversation window that opens. Meta doesn’t charge for the messages in a conversation that starts from one of these ads, for a set time after the person writes, which makes them a low-cost way to start conversations with new people.
